Global Scrappage Yards Services

Government-authorised RVSF

A vehicle that has stopped running does not stop being your responsibility. Until the registration is formally closed in government records, that RC still sits in your name and so does everything attached to it.

Global Scrappage Yards is a Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) authorised by the Government of India, working out of our own yard at Mubarikpur, Derabassi, in Mohali district. We take in end-of-life cars, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, dismantle and recycle them on site, and handle the documentation that closes the file properly. We are the facility itself, not a broker – you can read more about who we are before you commit to anything.

If you have been searching for a vehicle scrap yard near me and would rather deal with the yard directly than through an agent, this page covers what we handle, how the scrap value of your car is worked out, what paperwork you need, and what happens once your vehicle leaves your gate.

Scrapping Vehicles of Every Kind

Cars

Car Scrapping

We accept cars in almost any condition — old, accident-damaged, partly dismantled, or simply sitting under a cover for six years. Your car does not need to start, and it does not need all four wheels. If it cannot move on its own, we collect it.

Two-Wheelers

Bike and Two-Wheeler Scrapping

Scooters and motorcycles come to us for the same reasons cars do — a seized engine, a bike inherited with a house, something nobody has ridden in years. Two-wheelers weigh less, so the cash figure is smaller, but the paperwork matters just as much: a bike still registered in your name can still generate challans.

Commercial

Commercial Vehicle, Fleet and Dealer Scrapping

We work with transporters, dealerships and businesses retiring more than one vehicle at a time. Volume pricing applies, and every unit is documented individually so your audit trail stays clean. Trucks, tempos, buses, vans and company cars are all accepted — tell us the count and we will plan the collection in batches.

Any of these is the right service for you if: Whether it’s a car, a two-wheeler, or a fleet vehicle, the same signs apply.

  • Repairs now cost more than the vehicle is worth
  • The insurance company has written it off after an accident
  • It has stood unused for years and is now a parking problem
  • You want the registration retired so no future liability sits against your name

Vehicle Recycling

Scrapping and recycling are not the same thing, and this is where a proper car recycling center differs from a roadside cutter. Our car recycling process starts with depollution, not dismantling:

  1. Engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, coolant and fuel are drained off
  2. Battery, tyres and other hazardous components are removed and routed separately
  3. Reusable assemblies are taken off before the shell is processed
  4. Ferrous and non-ferrous metals are segregated for recycling into new material

Working in this order keeps oils and coolants out of the soil and groundwater. More on our Environmental Impact page.

Documentation and RC Support

Two things happen behind the scenes once your vehicle is with us. Tap each to see how it works.

1 RC Cancellation and Deregistration Support

Here is the honest division of work. As an RVSF, we deface the registration certificate in front of you, record the scrapping on the Government of India portal, and issue the certificates the transport authorities require. The registration itself is then cancelled by the RTO in the VAHAN database on the strength of that record — that authority sits with the government, not with us. What we take off your plate is the running around: filing the paperwork correctly the first time so it goes through without you visiting the RTO.

If the vehicle carries a bank hypothecation, has pending dues, or the registered owner has passed away, tell us early. Those cases need a few extra papers and our team will tell you which ones apply.

2 Scrap Certificate and Certificate of Deposit

A scrap certificate is generated on the official Government of India portal as soon as your vehicle is deposited — proof that it was scrapped at an authorised facility rather than sold on. The certificates we issue are legally valid and accepted by the RTO, by insurers closing a policy, and by manufacturers offering scrappage discounts. Keep a copy safely: it is what a dealer will ask to see when you claim that benefit.

How We Work Out the Scrap Value of Your Car

There is no fixed scrap car rate that applies to every vehicle, and anyone quoting one over the phone without knowing what they are collecting is guessing. Your figure is built on weight and vehicle type:

1
Kerb weight More metal means more money, so an SUV always fetches more than a hatchback.
2
What is still attached Engine, gearbox, wheels and battery all add value; a stripped shell is worth less.
3
Vehicle category And the scrap metal market rates that move month to month.
We give an indicative quote from your vehicle details, then weigh the vehicle openly on arrival. The final figure is confirmed before a single panel is cut, and payment is released on deposit — the weighing is visible, and so is the arithmetic.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of vehicles do you scrap?

Cars, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles of all kinds. Condition is not a barrier — accidental, non-running, partly dismantled and long-abandoned vehicles are all accepted.

2. Do I have to bring the vehicle to your yard?

No. Doorstep pickup is included across our service area and the vehicle need not be running. You are welcome to bring it in yourself if you would rather see the facility first.

3. What is a Certificate of Deposit and why does it matter?

It is the official record, issued only by a Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility, that your vehicle has been deposited for scrapping. It supports deregistration and is what you present when claiming a manufacturer scrappage benefit.

4. Will my RC actually be cancelled?

Yes, through the correct channel. We deface the RC, record the scrapping on the government portal and file the paperwork; the RTO then cancels the registration in VAHAN. We do the legwork so you do not have to visit the RTO.

5. How long does the whole process take?

From pickup to payment, a few days is typical, and your scrap certificate is generated as soon as the vehicle is deposited. RTO-side updates run on government timelines, which we cannot control but will keep you posted on.
