About Global Scrappage Yards

Who We Are

On Pandawala Road in Mubarikpur, a short drive out of Derabassi, sits a working vehicle scrap yard. Cars, bikes and commercial vehicles arrive there most days – some driven in by their owners, most collected from a house, workshop or parking spot somewhere across the region. That is us.

Global Scrappage Yards is a Government-authorised Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Punjab. Our name appears on the Punjab Transport Department’s official list of authorised scrapping centres, with our status recorded as operational.

That listing is the reason we exist as a business – without it, none of the certificates we issue would hold weight with the RTO, insurers or vehicle manufacturers offering scrappage discounts.

What We Do, in Plain Terms

We take end-of-life vehicles off owners’ hands and put them through the process the government has set out for how a vehicle should be retired in India. Everything sits under one roof: the pickup, the paperwork, the recycling and the certificate that closes the file. Owners deal with our team directly, from the first phone call to the moment payment is released.

Three things distinguish an RVSF from a scrap dealer:

1

A certificate that actually holds up

Generated on the official Government of India portal and recognised by the RTO.

2

A real, registered facility

The vehicle is depolluted and dismantled at a proper facility, not a roadside plot.

3

Registered through official channels

The registration process runs through official channels, not sold on to whoever pays next.

If you want to see what that looks like end to end, our How It Works page walks through each stage.

Our Facility in Derabassi

Khasra No. 56/11, Pandawala Road, Mubarikpur, Derabassi, Mohali, Punjab – 140507

It is a physical site with a gate, an office and space for the work that happens between a vehicle arriving and its materials leaving. Visitors are welcome.

Several of the customer messages we receive begin with someone saying they wanted to see the place first before handing anything over, which is fair. A visitable scrap yard is one of the clearer signals that a scrapping operation is doing what it says.

Vehicles that cannot move on their own are collected by our team. Someone who wants to drive their car in for a last look is welcome to do that too.

Either way, the vehicle is weighed openly on arrival, so nothing about the valuation happens behind a closed door.

The Vehicles We Handle

Cars, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles are all accepted. Condition rarely matters – accident-damaged, non-starting, partly dismantled or long-abandoned vehicles come through the yard as often as ones that still run.

We also work with dealerships, transporters and businesses retiring more than one vehicle at a time, where volume pricing and per-unit documentation apply.

A fuller breakdown of what we take, and what happens at each step, is on the Services page.

How We Approach the Work

A few things we hold to, because they either matter to the owner or matter to the environment around the yard:

The weighing is done in front of the owner and the price is agreed before a single panel is cut.

Payment is released on deposit, not weeks later, not after follow-ups.

Oils, coolants, brake fluid, fuel, batteries and tyres are drained or removed before any dismantling begins. This is what stops the fluids ending up in the soil or storm drains, which is the entire point of running the process this way.

The registration certificate is defaced in the owner’s presence, and the scrapping is recorded on the Government of India portal on the spot.

What the RTO handles, the actual cancellation of the RC in the VAHAN database, stays clearly labelled as their part of the job, not ours.

More on the environmental side of the operation is on our Environmental Impact page.

What Customers Tell Us

These are unedited comments left on our site. We are including a small selection here because they cover the parts of the process customers tend to worry about before they start: the owner’s behaviour, the paperwork, the payment timing and the certificate.

I scrapped my 2005 model car here and they offered me a very good deal. The owner’s behaviour was excellent, very polite and honest. The payment was transferred to me before they collected the car.

Amandeep Virdi

I recently did my car scrap vehicle disposal here and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. They also shared the CoD certificate from the authorised government portal. Great service.

Deepak Kumar

Fair valuation, quick documentation, and genuinely helpful staff. I will recommend, you must visit there.

A Few Things People Ask Before Getting in Touch

Are you actually a registered scrapping facility?
Yes. Global Scrappage Yards is on the Punjab Transport Department’s official list of authorised RVSFs, with our status shown as operational. The certificate you receive after scrapping is issued through the Government of India’s official portal, which is what makes it valid for the RTO, insurers and manufacturer scrappage discounts.
Are you a scrap dealer or a broker?
Neither. We are the facility itself. The vehicle you hand over is scrapped at our yard, not passed on to a third party. Owners deal with our team from the first enquiry to the payment.
Do you handle everything, or do I still need to visit the RTO?
You do not need to visit the RTO. We handle the paperwork, deface the RC in your presence and file the scrapping record on the government portal. The RTO closes the registration on the VAHAN database based on that record, which is their part of the process, not something an RVSF is authorised to do directly.
How can I check whether my vehicle qualifies?
Call +91 9888129919 or +91 8284812121 with the make, model, year and current condition. We will give you an indicative estimate and answer any documentation questions before you commit to anything. Or, if you would rather read the local requirements first, they are on our Scrap My Car in Punjab page.
